[The
Humane Societies will scan an animal without a collar
to see if there is a microchip.]
You can also place an ad in the Bradenton Herald, their
number is (941) 746-7355. Put up signs in your neighborhood
about your missing pet in case someone is keeping it for
you.
If you have found a pet,
you can take it to Manatee County Animal Services or to
Sarasota County Animal Services. They are the county’s
shelter where strays are taken. The Bradenton Herald also
runs FREE
classified ads for found pets, to list one call (941)
746-7355.
Important to Remember:
If you have found a dog or cat and someone calls about
it, make sure they give you a full description. Do
not give any information out about the animal.
Some people get dogs and cats this way to sell to laboratories.
It is also helpful to put up signs in your neighborhood
in case it belongs to someone who lives nearby. |
